Edouard Battegay
MD, Internal Medicine
I am Professor of General Internal Medicine and specialist in the differential diagnosis of intricate patient problems. I am interested in the clinical management of multimorbid patients with complex disease patterns. This interest is driven by the lack of evidence-based clinical guidelines for effective clinical management of potentially harmful drug-drug and drug-disease interactions. My aim is to help to mitigate this problem by developing visualization and decision support tools that give meaningful insight into these interactions, highlight points of particular patient risk, and make it easier to assess critical trade-offs between the benefits and risks of different treatment strategies.
