Multimorbid Brain

Neural biomarkers of disease burden in multimorbidity

The effects of multiple chronic diseases within a person may manifest as changes in the structure and function of the brain. The main research objective of this project is to apply knowledge discovery techniques in large patient samples of functional brain imaging data in order to identify reliable neural markers of disease. The identified neural biomarkers may provide new ways for describing and predicting the burden of multimorbid disease in specific patient groups.
